Russia plans to send Ukrainian children from occupation to military camps in 2025
The Kremlin has developed a plan to send Ukrainian children living under occupation to military camps in 2025. Moscow has already shared the plan with the occupation administrations, reports the National Resistance Center of Ukraine (NRC).
According to the NRC, the children will be sent to the Avangard camp in Russia's Volgograd region. Officially, the camp is described as a "patriotic education center." However, as noted by the NRC, it is actually a military camp. Children are encouraged to pursue military careers in Russian academies.
"Each region has a plan for the number of children to be sent to the camp during the season. The occupation administrations themselves have assigned the responsibility for recruiting participants to the Kremlin movements in the region," the NRC stated.
Notably, Russia plans to significantly increase the number of militaristic groups and centers for children in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, the number of so-called Yunarmiya centers (youth military centers -ed.) is expected to double in 2025.
