In the Mariupol district, orders have been issued to enlist students born in 2007 into military registration. In particular, a similar document was issued to the education department of one of the administrations, according to the press service of the Mariupol City Council.

Following the document from the occupation administration, starting from January 2024, all students born in 2007 are required to appear at the military enlistment office to register.

"Therefore, there is a risk of their mobilization," note the announcement.

The Mariupol City Council also reminds that earlier, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin instructed to conduct the fall draft for Russians in 2024 using a unified register of military conscripts.

"Hence, the occupiers are seeking opportunities to mobilize as many people as possible, especially from the occupied territory," emphasizes the announcement.

Mobilization into the Russian army

Recently, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin reported on the recruitment of hundreds of thousands into the ranks of the Russian army.

It is worth noting that, according to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the number of people dissatisfied with the war in Ukraine is growing in the Russian Federation. Almost 70% of the population in Russia opposes mobilization.

Understanding the criticality of the situation, the Kremlin regularly resorts to covert mobilization of residents in temporarily occupied territories.
