Russia making efforts to escalate war: MFA comments on intercontinental missile strike
Russia is making efforts to escalate the war. Currently, an investigation is underway to determine the exact type of missile the enemy used against Dnipro this morning, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
"We are awaiting the experts' conclusions to determine the exact type of new missile Russia launched at Ukraine this morning, which displayed all the flight-technical characteristics of an intercontinental ballistic missile," the spokesperson stated.
Tykhyi noted that the strike itself proves Russia is not seeking peace and is doing everything possible to escalate the war.
Missile strike on Dnipro
On the morning of November 21, Russia launched a missile strike on the city of Dnipro, employing various types of weaponry:
- An intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Astrakhan region.
- A Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aero-ballistic missile was fired from the Tambov region.
- Seven Kh-101 cruise missiles were launched from the Volgograd region.
Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed six Kh-101 cruise missiles during the attack.
The strike caused damage to an industrial enterprise and a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities in Dnipro.
Commenting on the attack, European Union (EU) spokesperson Peter Stano stated that Vladimir Putin is once again escalating his nuclear gambit with a recently updated nuclear doctrine.
