Russia launches up to 10 drones at Kyiv: Air defense shoots them down
Russia tried to attack Kyiv at night and on the morning of August 21. The Russian invaders launched up to 10 attack drones at Kyiv, but they were shot down on the outskirts, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
This is the fourth alert in the capital since the beginning of the day. The last one was related to the threat of Russian ballistic missile attacks. However, no missiles were launched in the direction of Kyiv.
From 11 p.m. on August 20, throughout the night and morning, most regions of Ukraine were under the threat of Russian attack drones.
"According to preliminary information, up to a dozen Russian drones were heading towards Kyiv. However, all the Russia's attack UAVs were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces and means on the outskirts of Kyiv," the statement says.
According to the latest information, there were no damages or casualties in Kyiv.

As early as the evening of August 20, it became known that the Russian occupiers had launched kamikaze drones. Air alerts were declared several times in many regions, including Kyiv.
Russian drones were shot down at night and on the morning of August 21. The movement of the Russian Shaheds was spotted in Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Dnipro, and Zhytomyr regions.
The last air alert in Kyiv was announced at 9:45 a.m. It was related to the threat of Russian ballistic missiles and lasted almost 40 minutes.
