Russia launches over 100 drones overnight from 5 directions - Air defense works

During the night of June 19, Russia launched over a hundred UAVs against Ukraine. The country's air defense forces managed to eliminate 88 of them, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
In total, Russian troops launched 104 targets, including Shahed UAVs and decoy drones, from the following directions:
- Russian cities of Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk;
- Temporarily occupied Chauda in Crimea.
The response to the attack involved:
- Air Force units;
- Anti-aircraft missile troops;
- Electronic warfare and drone system units;
- Mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
As of 8:30 a.m. Kyiv time, the confirmed number of downed drones across northern, eastern, southern, and central Ukraine stands at 88, of which:
- 40 drones were shot down by firepower,
- 48 were jammed or lost contact due to electronic warfare systems.
Strikes were recorded at six locations.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has regularly shelled Ukrainian territory. Civilian infrastructure is often hit, posing an increased threat to the population. The Russians use a wide range of weaponry for these attacks: various types of missiles, guided aerial bombs, drones, and artillery. Drone attacks are carried out almost every night. For example, on the night of June 18, Russian forces launched 58 drones at Ukraine from multiple directions.
