Russia launches nighttime attack with Shahed drones from six directions: Air defense works

On the night of March 28, Russian terrorists launched another assault on Ukraine. Enemy UAVs attacked from six directions, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
In total, the enemy launched 163 Shahed-type UAVs and decoy drones from six directions:
- Russian cities of Millerovo, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk;
- Temporarily occupied Chauda and Hvardiiske on the Crimean Peninsula.
To repel the attack, the following forces were engaged:
- Aviation;
- Anti-aircraft missile troops;
- Electronic warfare units;
- Mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, 89 Shahed-type strike drones and other UAVs were confirmed destroyed in the south, north, and central parts of the country.
In addition, 51 decoy drones were lost without any negative consequences.
As a result of the enemy attack, the following regions were affected:
- Kharkiv;
- Sumy;
- Poltava;
- Dnipropetrovsk;
- Odesa;
- Mykolaiv;
- Zaporizhzhia.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
Russia attacks Ukraine with drones every night. Occasionally, it also launches ballistic missiles. During the nighttime attack, explosions were heard in Poltava, leaving part of the administrative center without power. The enemy also struck Zaporizhzhia and its region with kamikaze drones.
