Russia launches drones from six directions, hits reported: How Ukraine's air defense responded

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 170 strike drones overnight on September 27. Ukraine's air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the enemy drones, but some strikes were recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
This night, Russian forces attacked with 170 Shahed-type strike UAVs (76 of them jet-powered), Gerbera drones and Parodiya-type decoy drones launched from Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Shatalovo in Russia, as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to preliminary data, as of 7:30 a.m., air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 147 enemy Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones.
Hits by enemy aerial attack weapons were recorded at 18 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at eight locations.
"The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Ukrainian Air Force warned.
As a reminder, Russian forces attacked the Odesa region with drones overnight on September 27. The strikes on port and civilian infrastructure caused a fire.
