Russia launches drone and Black Sea missile attack on Ukraine: air defense response

On the night of August 10, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine using a missile and more than 100 drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
What Russia used to attack
The enemy used a Kh-59/69 guided aerial missile and three Banderol loitering munitions. They were launched from airspace over the Black Sea.
Additionally, 126 Shahed, Gerbera and Parody decoy drones were launched toward Ukraine. Launches were recorded from the following directions:

Millerovo;

Oryol;

Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia;

temporarily occupied Donetsk;

Hvardiiske, temporarily occupied Crimea.
How many targets were neutralized by air defenses
As of 9:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenders had shot down or suppressed 92 enemy Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones. They also neutralized three Banderol loitering munitions over the northern, southern and eastern parts of the country.
According to preliminary data, the enemy missile failed to reach its target thanks to active countermeasures by the Defense Forces.
Strikes by attack drones were recorded at 22 locations. Debris from downed equipment fell in two other locations.
The attack is still ongoing, with isolated enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
It should be recalled that Russia met its annual production target for Zircon and Oniks missiles earlier this summer.
In the first seven months of this year, Russian forces produced 33 Zircon missiles and 60 Onyx missiles.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's military intelligence service reported that Russia had suspended production of Kinzhal missiles due to their low strike accuracy.
Instead, missile fuel and components were redirected to the production of other ballistic missiles.
