Russia launches 88 drones from three directions: Ukraine's air defense response

Russia launched 88 drones at Ukraine from three directions. Defense forces successfully repelled the attack, destroying most of the UAVs, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of April 12, Russia carried out a massive airstrike on Ukraine, using 88 Shahed-type strike UAVs and UAV imitators of various models, flying from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, radio-electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, by 09:00 on April 12, 56 enemy Shahed UAVs, attempting to reach their targets in the north, south, east, and central parts of the country, were confirmed to have been shot down.
In addition, 24 enemy drone imitators were lost in location without causing negative consequences.
As a result of the Russian attack, several regions of Ukraine were affected: Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk.
It is worth noting that this morning, Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv with drones. As a result of the attack, buildings caught fire, and firefighting efforts are ongoing.
Debris from the downed UAVs caused fires in the Svyatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts of Kyiv. A private house and a non-residential building were damaged. Emergency responders are on site.
