Russia attacks Kyiv with drones: Fires break out in capital

On the night of April 12, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones. According to preliminary reports, fires broke out as a result of the attack, reports Kyiv's mayor Vitalii Klitschko.
He informed that, so far, fires have been reported in two districts of the capital.
"A fire in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Non-residential buildings are burning. In the Darnytskyi district, a private house is on fire," the message reads at 04:41 Kyiv time.
Klitschko added that emergency services are heading to the scene of the incidents.
The mayor of the capital reported that another fire was recorded in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv due to drone debris falling.
"Emergency services are on site. No one has turned to medical services," he added.

"As of 05:00, as a result of an enemy attack, the fall of debris from downed UAVs has caused fires in the Svyatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts of Kyiv. A private house and a non-residential building were damaged. Rescue workers are on-site," reported the Kyiv Military Administration.
They added that information regarding the casualties and the scale of the destruction is being clarified.
A few minutes later, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko provided an update, confirming one casualty in the Svyatoshynskyi district, with medical assistance being provided. Meanwhile, in the Darnytskyi district, where drone debris fell, a private house was destroyed. There were no casualties.

"There are now two casualties in the Svyatoshynskyi district. Medical assistance is being provided," wrote Klitschko.
Russian attack on Kyiv on April 10
During the night from April 9 to 10, there was also an attempt to attack Kyiv with drones. Air defense forces were active in the capital.
Later, it became known that as a result of the enemy attack, a fire had broken out, and there were destructions in several districts. Vitalii Klitschko also reported that 4 people were injured due to the enemy attack.
