On the night of September 12, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 40 strike drones such as Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as other types of UAVs. Air defense systems intercepted 33 enemy targets, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

Among the 40 drones launched by Russia, over 20 were Shahed UAVs.

Anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned forces units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, repelled the air attack.

The Air Force managed to suppress the operation of the enemy drones in the north, east, and central regions of the country.

The reports also indicated that six strike drones hit three locations.

As RBC-Ukraine previously reported, Russia recently launched a record number of drones at Ukraine - 810 units. Air defense forces managed to eliminate 747 UAVs.

On September 12, Russians attacked the city of Sumy with drones. The enemy struck a non-residential building, causing a fire.

The enemy has also suffered drone attacks - on the night of September 12, unknown drones entered the port of Primorsk in the Leningrad region, resulting in a ship catching fire.

In addition, on September 12, residents of Smolensk in Russia reported explosions, and the sounds of drones were heard over Kursk and Bryansk.
