Russia launched large drone attack on Kyiv: Consequences revealed
On the night of October 18, the Russian occupiers launched a drone attack at Kyiv. There were no direct hits in the capital, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
The Kyiv City Military Administration called the Russian attack one of the most massive. All drones moving in the direction of Kyiv were destroyed.
“Russian troops have carried out one of the most massive drone attacks on civilians and infrastructure in Ukraine. Russian drones threatened Kyiv as well. However, thanks to the coordinated work of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, all Russian drones moving towards the capital were neutralized,” the statement says.
Combat operations in Kyiv's airspace on its outskirts lasted more than 4.5 hours. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or damage in Kyiv.
What else is known about the night attack
The information that Russians had launched drones in the direction of Ukraine appeared on the evening of October 17. As of this morning, the operation is still ongoing.
The movement of Russian drones was recorded in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Rivne, Lutsk, Kirovohrad, Kherson, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Explosions were heard in Kyiv at night, and Ukrainian air defense was operating.
