Russia kills over 20 with aerial bomb in Ukraine's Donetsk region

Russian troops dropped an aerial bomb on people receiving pensions in the village of Yarova in the Donetsk region. As a result of the Russian attack, over 20 people were killed, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"A brutally savage Russian airstrike with an aerial bomb on the rural settlement of Yarova in the Donetsk region. Directly on people. Ordinary civilians. At the very moment when pensions were being disbursed. According to preliminary information, more than 20 people were killed. There are no words… My condolences to all the families and loved ones of the victims," Zelenskyy says.
He also stressed that such attacks by Russia must not go unanswered by the world.
"The Russians continue destroying lives while avoiding new strong sanctions and new strong blows. The world must not remain silent. The world must not remain idle. A response is needed from the United States. A response is needed from Europe. A response is needed from the G20. Strong actions are needed to make Russia stop bringing death," the head of state adds.
According to Ihor Smilianskyi, CEO of Ukrposhta, the branch manager was injured.
"Thanks to the prompt assistance provided by our driver, her life is not in danger—she is already in the hospital," Smilianskyi adds.
Donetsk regional military administration's statement
According to the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, at least 21 people were killed and the same number wounded as a result of the Russian strike on Yarova.
"Rescuers, medics, police, and local authorities are currently working at the scene. We are helping the victims and establishing the exact consequences of this crime. I will provide further updates," he adds.

Russian strikes on Donetsk region
