On the night of June 20, Russian forces launched a massive drone strike on the city of Odesa. Due to the attack, one person was killed and 14 others were injured, the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office reports.

According to the investigation, from 12:51 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. local time, the enemy carried out a large-scale UAV attack on Odesa. Preliminary data indicates that at least 10 drones were used to strike civilian infrastructure in the city.

Due to the attack:

  • one person was killed;
  • 14 people sustained injuries of varying severity, including three emergency workers.

The attack caused damage to:

  • a 23-story residential building;
  • several other multi-story buildings, one of which was completely destroyed;
  • outbuildings;
  • an educational institution;
  • a store;
  • civilian vehicles.

The attack caused large-scale fires throughout the city. In particular, a four-story building was caught in flames. Firefighters rescued three people and evacuated six more.

During rescue efforts, structural elements collapsed on emergency responders, injuring three firefighters.

On the 23-story residential building, the 18th, 19th, and 20th floors caught fire during the attack. A total of 600 residents were evacuated from the building, and three individuals were rescued from a blocked apartment.

Furthermore, Russian forces damaged the infrastructure at the city’s railway station.
