Moscow has announced another meeting with US representatives within the next two weeks, reportedly to discuss "irritants" in bilateral relations, according to RIA Novosti, citing Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

According to Ryabkov, the US and Russia are planning a bilateral meeting at the level of department heads within the next two weeks to discuss the removal of "irritants" in their relations.

The Russian Foreign Ministry representative stated that this meeting would be preceded by consultations at the deputy level to determine "who will act as our interlocutor from the American side at this level."

Ryabkov added that the meeting at the level of department heads is expected to take place in a third country, with the exact location still being negotiated.

US-Russia negotiations

As a reminder, talks between US and Russian representatives took place in Saudi Arabia on February 18. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that he is "convinced of Russia's willingness to begin a serious process to determine how the war can be ended."

The Trump administration has stated that it will engage in discussions with both sides of the conflict. More details on the US-Russia negotiations can be found in RBC-Ukraine's report.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has declared that Ukraine does not recognize the outcomes of the talks between the US and Russia in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, Zelenskyy postponed his visit to Saudi Arabia due to the meeting between Russian and American delegations.
