Russia gathering forces for offensive on Ukraine's Pokrovsk

The Russian army is gathering forces for further attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops.
In particular, Russian troops tried to use their numerical superiority to break through our defenses in the areas of the following settlements:
- Rodynske;
- Novoekonomichne;
- Novoukrainka;
- Lysivka;
- Kotlyne;
- Zvirove.
Ukrainian soldiers also repelled Russian assaults near Udachne, Muravka, Filia, and Dachne.
"Russia continues to build up forces for further attacks. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the onslaught, destroying Russia's superior forces," the statement says.
Situation near Pokrovsk
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian troops continue to suffer setbacks on the front lines — the Russian troops are unable to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses in key areas.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group attempted to break through to Pokrovsk. Ukrainian defenders stopped the Russian assault.
The Donetsk operational and tactical group of Ukraine stated that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking active measures against enemy sabotage groups in Pokrovsk. According to the Ukrainian military, Russian sabotage groups are being destroyed before they even approach the city.
