Russia faces no threat: NATO condemns Moscow's nuclear rhetoric over Kaliningrad

NATO spokesperson Allison Hart rejected Russia's warnings to the Alliance regarding the Kaliningrad region, calling Russian statements irresponsible nuclear rhetoric, according to NTV.
"I can confirm that Russia sent an unofficial letter to NATO, and we responded to it. We strongly condemn the threat of any use of force, including any irresponsible nuclear rhetoric," said Allison Hart.
She added that no NATO exercises or actions pose a threat to any part of Russia.
Prior to this, the Russian embassy in Brussels lodged a complaint with the Alliance regarding provocative statements and actions by NATO leadership and member countries concerning the Kaliningrad region. The reason cited was the unprecedented increase in Alliance military activity along our western borders.
"(Moscow - ed.) is ready to use its entire arsenal to protect its territory if NATO states attempt to isolate the Kaliningrad region from the rest of our country," stated the unofficial letter to NATO.
The Kaliningrad region borders Poland and Lithuania, which are NATO member states.
What else is important to know
It recently became known that Lithuania has prepared an evacuation plan for residents of Vilnius in the event of a military threat or serious crisis. One of the three established exit routes will be the border with Poland.
According to the President of Czechia, his country is ready to fulfill its obligations to NATO and send troops to assist the Baltic countries in the event of a possible Russian attack.
Furthermore, NATO is intensifying the exchange of intelligence and information in response to the increase in hybrid threats from Russia.
