Russian claims about the alleged capture of Kutkivka (Kharkiv region) have turned out to be yet another fake. Ukraine’s Defense Forces are holding the settlement, according to the 16th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The settlement of Kutkivka, which falls within the area of responsibility of units of the 16th Army Corps, remains under the full control of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Information about the loss of positions has not been confirmed — the Defense Forces are maintaining their defenses without changes.
“The enemy is attempting to act in small sabotage and reconnaissance groups, trying to infiltrate the settlement. However, such attempts are detected in advance and promptly neutralized,” the military said.
According to them, units of the 151st Separate Mechanized Brigade destroy enemy groups on the approaches to Kutkivka or while they are taking shelter in destroyed buildings.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that statements about the “capture” of the settlement are yet another element of Russia’s information and psychological operations and have nothing to do with the real situation on the front line.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
Ukrainian troops have refuted statements from Valery Gerasimov about the alleged capture of the settlement of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. The settlement in the Kharkiv region is not under Russian control and is not even located directly on the line of combat contact.
Previously, the Defense Forces repeatedly emphasized that Russian attempts to break through toward Kupiansk end in significant losses for Russia, while the city remains under the control of Ukrainian defenders.
Ukrainian troops have established control over the building of the Kupiansk City Council. The operation was carried out as part of efforts to unblock the city under the leadership of the command of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine.
