Russia claims offensive in Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine says it's fake

Russia claims advance toward the western Donetsk region border and offensive on the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine and the spokesperson of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrii Kovaliov, explain the situation.
Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense's briefing included a statement that "units of the 90th tank division of the Center group of forces have reached the western border of the Donetsk People's Republic and continue advancing into the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region."
The Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine responded that the situation remains tense in the area of responsibility of the 31st Separate Brigade.
"The enemy does not abandon its intentions to enter the Dnipropetrovsk region. But our soldiers courageously and professionally hold their section of the front, thwarting the occupier’s plans. This work does not stop for a moment," the military emphasized.
The spokesperson of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major Andrii Kovaliov, told RBC-Ukraine that claims of such an advance in this direction are Russian disinformation.
"This information does not correspond to reality. Fighting continues in the Donetsk region. The cited statement is Russian disinformation," he explained.
According to the map from the analytical service DeepState, Russian troops have not yet reached the administrative border.
