The situation on the front line remains extremely tense. Russian forces have intensified offensive operations across nearly all sectors and are carrying out a large-scale regrouping of troops, according to Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Hottest areas of the battlefield

According to Syrskyi, the Pokrovsk direction is currently the most critical section of the front, where Russia has concentrated a force of around 106,000 troops.

Russian forces are attempting to pressure Ukrainian defenses by using their numerical advantage in manpower.

In addition to Pokrovsk, heavy fighting is also ongoing in the Kupiansk, Kostiantynivka, Ocheretyne, and Oleksandrivka directions.

Active enemy operations are also being observed in areas near the Russian border.

Syrskyi's statement

Oleksandr Syrskyi stressed that Russia is not only attacking but also redeploying units to strengthen its offensive capabilities.

"The situation along the line of combat remains difficult. The enemy has intensified offensive actions across virtually the entire front and is regrouping its forces," Syrskyi said.

Situation near Pokrovsk

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Brigadier General Yevhen Lasiichuk, commander of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces, held a series of coordination meetings aimed at strengthening the defense of the Pokrovsk agglomeration and synchronizing operations in the most difficult sectors.

It was also reported that Russian forces are attempting to push Ukrainian defenders out of the northern outskirts of Pokrovsk. Their current objective is to create conditions for further advances toward the settlement of Shevchenko.

In addition, it recently became known that partisans from the ATESH movement carried out a successful sabotage operation in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region, destroying telecommunications equipment at a key communications tower. The attack caused serious logistical disruptions and left some Russian forces near Pokrovsk without a stable supply and coordination.
