Russia bombs Kharkiv region, destroying residential buildings and injuring a baby

Russia attacked Izium in Ukraine's Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs overnight. Shortly before the strike, Ukraine's Air Force had warned of the threat of aerial bombs in the Kharkiv region, according to Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov.
It is reported that two adults and a 2-month-old baby were injured in the attack.
"A 56-year-old man, a 34-year-old woman, and a 2-month-old baby were injured in Izium as a result of the enemy's guided-bomb attack," the official wrote.
Syniehubov also reported destroyed homes and damaged vehicles.
"Four private properties were destroyed, five private homes were damaged, and passenger cars were damaged," the governor said.
Emergency and other specialized services are working at the sites of the strikes.
Syniehubov also shared a photo showing one of the destroyed homes, with extensive damage visible.
Previous attacks on Izium
Russian forces regularly attack the Kharkiv region with drones, missiles, and guided aerial bombs. Izium is occasionally targeted as well.
Recently, explosions were reported in Izium after Russian forces attacked the city with aerial bombs. One of the strikes hit a Nova Poshta freight branch. Part of the area was also left without electricity.
There have also been reports of a Russian combat drone striking a high-rise building in Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district.
