Russian Shahed strikes on Ukraine
Since the first months of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russians have been using Shahed-type attack drones to target energy and civilian infrastructure. The Russian occupiers use various tactics to defeat them, but most drones are successfully being destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces.
For example, on the night of April 1, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type attack drones. The threat was announced for the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down two Russian drones.
Since the beginning of 2024, Russia has launched over 180 drones and missiles on Kyiv. The Russian occupiers attacked the capital with Shahed drones and six different types of missiles.
