Russia attacks Ukraine with drones and missile overnight: Air defense' work reported
On the night of July 26, Russia struck Ukraine with 20 Shaheds and a ballistic missile at Ukraine. The Ukrainian air defense was operating in four regions, according to the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk.
Last night, the Russians fired an Iskander-M ballistic missile at the Donetsk region. It was launched from the Rostov region of Russia.
In addition, the Russians launched kamikaze drones at Ukraine from several directions: Cape Chauda (Crimea) and Kursk. The launches of 22 Shaheds were recorded.
Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down 20 Russian drones in the Kherson, Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Chernihiv regions. Russian attack was repelled by mobile fire groups, anti-aircraft missile troops, and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Air Force.
Consequences of Russian attack
Last night, the Russians attacked the town of Nizhyn in Chernihiv region. The Russian shelling damaged an infrastructure facility and a residential dormitory there.
One person was wounded in Nizhyn as a result of the Russian attack.
In addition, the Russians attacked the Zhytomyr region for the second night in a row, damaging civilian infrastructure and energy facilities. According to the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, there were no civilian casualties.
