Russia attacks Ukraine with ballistic missiles and dozens of Shahed drones: Air defense works

Russia launched a ballistic missile and nearly 40 drones against Ukraine over the past and current day, attacking from four directions, the Ukrainian Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
From 9:00 a.m. on April 10 to 9:00 a.m. Kyiv time on April 11, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with:
- A ballistic missile fired at Dnipro from a region in Russia;
- 39 Shahed UAVs and decoy drones launched from Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
To repel the attack, Ukrainian Defense Forces deployed:
- aviation;
- anti-aircraft missile troops;
- electronic warfare units;
- mobile fire groups.
As of 9:00 a.m., Ukrainian forces confirmed the downing of 24 UAVs across the north, south, east, and central regions of the country. Also, 13 decoy drones were lost locally without any negative consequences.
The following regions were affected by the air attacks:
- Dnipropetrovsk;
- Donetsk;
- Zhytomyr regions.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have regularly targeted Ukrainian infrastructure using a wide variety of weapons, including missiles, artillery, guided aerial bombs, and UAVs. Drones in particular have become a nightly threat, posing persistent danger to civilians. For example, on the night of April 10, Russia attacked Ukraine with 145 drones.
