Russia launched 100 drones of various types against Ukraine on the night of August 10, most of which were intercepted, though some managed to hit their targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.

That night, Russian forces launched attack drones and decoy UAVs from four directions — Shatalovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

The assault was repelled by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and drone system units, as well as mobile fire groups of the country’s Defense Forces. Air defense forces destroyed 70 enemy drones of various types over the north and east of Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 30 drones hit 12 locations in the frontline regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv, while debris from downed drones fell in three other locations.

Deadly bus strike

On the morning of August 9, Russian forces attacked a commuter bus in the suburbs of Kherson using drones.

The strike killed two men and injured 16 others.

Among the wounded were three police officers, who came under a second attack. As they attempted to recover the bodies from the bus, an enemy FPV drone struck the site again.
