People were inside during the attack

At the time of the attack, six women with newborn babies were in the ward. One patient was also in labor at the moment of the attack. Despite the extensive damage, neither patients nor medical staff were injured.

Aftermath and recovery

Cleanup and restoration work is ongoing at the site. Medical staff and municipal services are working to restore the building to working condition.

It is worth noting that the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the Naval Forces, has dismantled a major maritime smuggling channel that was used in an attempt to deliver a strike drone to Odesa in preparation for terrorist attacks. According to intelligence services, the operation to identify and neutralize the scheme lasted over a year.
