On the morning of March 21, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. So far, debris has fallen in three districts of the capital: residential buildings, a kindergarten, and cars, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, and the Kyiv City Military Administration.

Sviatoshynskyi district

In Svyatoshynskyi district, rocket fragments fell on the premises of a kindergarten. There are also reports of debris falling on a residential building. The shock wave smashed windows in two nine-story buildings.

There are reports of damaged cars.

The information about the damage to the building of the preschool educational institution has not been confirmed.

Shevchenkivskyi district

Cars are burning in Shevchenkivskyi district. A residential building was also damaged by debris - a fire in an apartment. In addition, according to preliminary information, there is a fire on the territory of a kindergarten.

In Shevchenkivskyi district, where an apartment is on fire, residents are being evacuated.

Windows in some buildings have been damaged by blast waves.

Debris falls on the territory of residential buildings between the kindergarten and residential buildings without any negative consequences. A private residential building is on fire.

Podilskyi district

Rocket fragments fell on the territory of two enterprises. The roof of a residential building is also on fire. There is a fire in a transformer substation and a two-story non-residential building.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the information about the fall of debris on the roof of a residential building with subsequent fire has not been confirmed. The fire in the transformer substation and the two-story non-residential building has been extinguished.

Victims

Klitschko reported 8 injured as a result of the enemy attack. So far, no one has been hospitalized. All of them were treated on the spot.

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that there are currently two injured: a girl of 11 and a man of 38. No one was killed.

According to Kyiv City Military Administration spokesperson Mykhailo Shamanov, the girl was injured of moderate severity, her life is not in danger.

As of this moment, 10 people are known to be injured, Kyiv City Military Administration said.

Updated at 8:28 a.m. There are already 12 injured in Kyiv as a result of the Russian missile attack.

Updated at 9:00 a.m. The number of people injured in the Russian attack has increased to 13 (including 1 child).

There is no information about the killed.

Earlier today, at about 3:40 a.m., a large-scale air alert was announced in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the launch of cruise missiles.
