Rescue workers continue to deal with the aftermath. The number of injured people and the extent of the damage are still being clarified.
On the night of October 14, Russia struck western Ukraine: an oil depot in Lutsk, a gas station and enterprises in Khmelnytskyi region, and a residential area in Rivne came under attack.
On the same day, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure despite the so-called energy truce announced by US President Donald Trump. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it Moscow's unprecedented disrespect toward the United States.
