On April 25, Russian troops attacked the Cherkasy district. The object of critical infrastructure was damaged, and six people were injured, according to the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Ihor Taburets.

"In the morning, the enemy attacked our Cherkasy region. A complex anti-aircraft defense worked against a high-speed air target," he says.

According to preliminary information, a critical infrastructure facility in Cherkasy district was damaged.

"There are no casualties. Six people have sought medical help at the moment. All services are in place," Taburets says.

Russia hit Smila with Iskander

As the Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson later noted, in the morning Russia fired one missile, previously it was an Iskander-K missile at the Cherkasy region, namely at the city of Smila.

"Civil infrastructure was hit, and the logistic railway connection was also damaged. In addition, the strike damaged administrative buildings, cars, and civilian property," he said.

Explosions in Cherkasy region

At 6:24 a.m. there was an air raid in the Cherkasy and Kyiv regions. The Air Force warned of missile danger in these areas.

Already at 6:26 a.m., the military announced a high-speed target in the direction of Cherkasy. At 6:38 a.m., local media reported what sounded like explosions. They sounded during an air raid.

As early as 6:42 a.m., the air raid ended in Cherkasy and other regions where it sounded.

On the night of March 29, the Russian troops staged a combined massive attack on Ukraine. In the Cherkasy region, a hit to an energy facility was recorded, and air defense was also working.
