Russia is amassing forces in the center of Toretsk, the Donetsk region. From there, it is attempting assaults toward the Toretska-Tsentralna mine and the city center near the Avangard stadium, states the spokesperson of the Luhansk Operational-Tactical Group, Dmytro Zaporozhets.
"In Toretsk, there is an active buildup of enemy forces in the central part of the city. The enemy then attempts assault operations toward the Toretska-Tsentralna mine and the city center near the Avangard stadium," Zaporozhets said.
According to him, the enemy is constantly moving, using any available buildings for cover, and the main task of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to eliminate them during these movements.
"During these movements, the enemy suffers losses because all assault operations from the city center take place under drone surveillance. Some movements are monitored by UAVs all the way to specific locations. The enemy does not always understand where they are, so these assault actions directly involve the use of drone components," the spokesperson noted.
He also reported that over the past day, the enemy carried out 35 assaults in the area of responsibility of the Luhansk Operational-Tactical Group, with the highest activity in the Toretsk direction.
"Over the past 24 hours, there have been 35 enemy assaults in our operational zone. The highest assault activity remains in the Toretsk direction, while the highest artillery activity, with over 100 shelling incidents recently, is in the Kramatorsk direction," Zaporozhets added.
Earlier, we reported that Russian troops are intensifying pressure on Toretsk in the Donetsk region, increasing the number of assaults and artillery shelling. Additionally, the invaders have transferred extra forces there from the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions.
