Rubio confirms conversation with Lavrov on war in Ukraine

Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Among other things, they discussed ending the war in Ukraine, the website of the US government informs.
The US State Department said that today, February 15, Rubio did indeed speak with Lavrov. This follows a conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin earlier this week.
"The Secretary re-affirmed President Trump’s commitment to finding an end to the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, they discussed the opportunity to potentially work together on a number of other bilateral issues," the government website said.
Earlier today, this conversation was reported in Russia.
In a separate material, RBC-Ukraine reported on the details of the conversation from the Russian side.
Trump recently announced his intention to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
