Royal debut abroad: Danish King and Queen's first foreign visit

King Frederik and Queen Mary, who have recently occupied the throne of Denmark, after Queen Margrethe abdicated, went abroad for the first time on a business visit, according to the monarchs' official Instagram profile.

The first foreign visit of King Frederik and Queen Mary took place at the invitation of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf.

The Danish monarchs arrived in the neighboring country of Sweden on board the Dannebrog ship and were able to attract a lot of attention.

On the occasion of the royal couple's visit, a lavish reception was held at the Stockholm Palace. Queen Mary received the Order of the Seraphim from the hands of the Swedish monarch and became the first woman in history to become a knight of the Swedish order.

This award is quite significant for a queen who has only recently taken office.

In his speech, King Frederick emphasized the close ties between the Scandinavian monarchies.

“My grandmother was born a Swedish princess, and although she quickly picked up the Danish language, she made me want to understand Swedish. Her voice, regardless of language, was the sound of care. Sweden has, for as long as I can remember, had a fixed place in my consciousness and in my heart,” the monarch said.

Also at this event, Queen Mary's outfit deserves special attention. She chose a cream dress from the Jesper Hovring brand with a bodice decorated with floral lace, which looks very neat. She complemented her look with a ruby tiara and necklace.

Queen Silvia of Sweden is also not inferior to Mary in the beauty of her outfit, she appeared in a dress of rich emerald color by Georg et Arend, which fascinated the audience.
