The frontman of the legendary Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, gave his final concert. It became a truly emotional farewell to the stage, writes The Daily Mail.

How Ozzy Osbourne's farewell concert went

The event took place on July 5 at Villa Park Stadium in his hometown of Birmingham, United Kingdom, becoming a symbolic culmination of the rock icon's half-century-long career.

Due to a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, which Ozzy has lived with since 2003, as well as numerous complex spinal surgeries, the artist spent the entire performance sitting in a special black throne chair, adorned with a large bat figure.

According to Daily Mail, this was the first full reunion of Black Sabbath's classic lineup—Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, and Osbourne himself—since 2005.

They performed iconic hits, including "War Pigs," "NIB," "Iron Man," and "Paranoid," driving the 42,000-strong crowd into an incredible frenzy.

Closing the concert, Ozzy addressed the fans.

"It's the last song ever. Your support has enabled us to live an amazing lifestyle, thank you from the bottom of our hearts." On the eve of the performance, the musician openly admitted that he was unsure whether he would be able to stand on stage. But the strength of will and the desire to thank his fans proved stronger, he said.

The evening opened with his solo performance. Wearing black leather and his signature makeup, Ozzy came out on stage to wild applause from the crowd.

"It's so good to be on this f***ing stage. Let the madness begin!" he shouted.
