As a result of a road accident involving a Ukrainian bus in Poland, 20 Ukrainian citizens were affected. They have been hospitalized, informs the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

He confirmed that a road accident involving a bus from a Ukrainian company occurred near the settlement of Hrubieszów in the Lublin Voivodeship overnight.

According to preliminary information, 20 Ukrainians sustained injuries of varying severity. They have been hospitalized, receiving necessary medical assistance.

The remaining passengers have been directed to temporary accommodation.

"The Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin is cooperating with Polish law enforcement to clarify all circumstances of the road accident, monitoring the treatment of affected citizens. The issue of providing another bus for the passengers is being addressed," Nikolenko noted.

Background

It was reported by Polish media today, on January 27, that a bus from Ukraine was involved in a road accident near the Polish-Ukrainian border. It is known that the bus overturned on its side while making a turn.

As noted in Poland, there were 59 passengers and two drivers inside the vehicle. Polish border guards stated that 18 people were injured and were taken to hospitals.
