Retaliatory strike. Ukraine's Air Force attacks Shahed launch site in Bryansk region

Ukrainian defenders carried out an airstrike on the Pogar border checkpoint in Russia's Bryansk region, from where the Russian army had been launching its kamikaze drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"On March 27, 2025, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully struck the Pogar border checkpoint near Sluchovsk (village - ed.) in Russia's Bryansk region," the General Staff reported.
As a result of the Ukrainian attack, the military infrastructure of the checkpoint was destroyed, including communication and electronic warfare equipment, the surveillance system, and other technical assets.
According to preliminary information, between 15 and 40 Russian soldiers were eliminated.
The military command emphasized that the strike was a response to Russia's actions, as it continues to terrorize Ukraine's civilian population and infrastructure with its attack drones.
"Russian UAV launches were repeatedly recorded from the Pogar location. The destruction of this checkpoint reduces the enemy's ability to conduct combat operations against Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the Sumy region and the Kursk direction," the General Staff added.
Drone attacks
Russian forces continue to launch Shahed kamikaze drones at Ukraine on a daily basis.
According to Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, the enemy is employing a new tactic — launching a large number of drones at a single city simultaneously to overwhelm air defenses.
For example, just a few days ago, Russia attacked Kharkiv with a "swarm" of Shaheds.
