Capcom has announced that the mobile game Resident Evil: Survival Unit will be released on November 18. The project will be available in more than 150 countries for iOS and Android devices. The game will be free to play but will include in-app purchases, according to Engadget.
What's known
Survival Unit is a strategy game featuring base building and real-time battles against creatures inspired by the Resident Evil universe. Players will be able to assemble a team of familiar franchise characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Claire Redfield.
The story unfolds in a parallel universe, allowing developers to introduce new heroes from different parts of the series.
The project is being developed in collaboration with Joycity (creators of 3on3 FreeStyle Rebound) and Aniplex, known for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2. Both studios are working on the game "in close collaboration" with Capcom.
The game aims to help fans pass the time while waiting for the next main installment in the series, Resident Evil Requiem. This will be the ninth game in the franchise, scheduled for release on February 26, 2026.
