Ukraine's Presidential Office chief Budanov warns about North Korea: 'It's only a matter of time'

According to Budanov, North Korea is not limiting itself to supplying Russia with weapons and materials. North Korea is also sending its troops to directly participate in the war against Ukraine.

At the same time, Pyongyang is using the experience it has gained to develop its own military capabilities.

"North Korea is learning from our war and arming itself. The world must see this connection while there is still time," Budanov said.

He noted that North Korea is improving its weapons based on the experience of combat operations in Ukraine. In addition, the country is adopting new types of weapons, some of which are of Russian origin.

North Korea is producing attack drones

Budanov separately highlighted the development of drone technology in North Korea. According to him, the country has already established mass production of one-way attack drones.

"And this in no way contributes to stability in the Korean region. And when you see how rapidly the North Korean regime is militarizing, the question naturally arises: why? First and foremost - to be ready for active combat operations in its own region," he stressed.

The head of the President's Office also mentioned a recent incident on the demarcation line between North and South Korea. He believes that the situation there is gradually escalating and that the emergence of a trigger event could lead to uncontrollable consequences.

As a reminder, North Korea has begun practicing tactics for mass attacks involving the simultaneous use of drones, missiles, rocket projectiles and artillery.
