Raiffeisen Bank International continues the sale of its business in Russia. The bank has not suspended its exit from the Russian market, said a representative of Raiffeisen in a comment to Reuters.

He noted that the rumors in the media are not true.

"The sale process is neither stopped nor on hold, the sale process is continuing," the bank representative added.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin stated that the bank continues its operations in Russia.

Rumors about Raiffeisen

Earlier, the Financial Times, citing its sources, reported that Raiffeisen Bank International had paused its efforts to sell its Russian subsidiary.

An unnamed source told the agency that this decision was made due to the restoration of political interactions between Russia and the United States.

Raiffeisen Bank International remains the largest Western bank still conducting business in Russia despite the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

By the way, in January, a Russian court decided to confiscate 2 billion euros from the bank.
