Fans of the world-famous TV series Friends have been given a welcome reason for nostalgia: Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, who played Rachel Green and Phoebe Buffay, have appeared together on camera once again. The actresses became the stars of a new episode of Actors on Actors and graced the cover of the Variety weekly magazine.
Joyful reunion and fond memories
During their conversation while working on the new photoshoot, the stars discussed not only their current projects but also their time working on the series that brought them worldwide fame.
For many viewers, Aniston and Kudrow will forever remain Rachel and Phoebe. That is why their joint photoshoot is certain to spark a wave of warm emotions among fans around the world.
Memories of Friends
Especially touching was Lisa Kudrow's recollection of the final season of The Comeback. The actress admitted that the new episodes were filmed on the lot of Warner Bros., where Friends had also been filmed many years earlier.
According to Kudrow, returning to the familiar location brought back powerful emotions and reminded her of the conclusion of the legendary sitcom that became such an important part of her life.
"I can't even describe how emotional it made me. I realized that this was the end of a story, and this was the very place where the story of Friends once came to an end," she said.
Unexpected family coincidence
Another special moment for the actress was the involvement of her son, Julian, in the final season of The Comeback. During the filming of Friends, Lisa was pregnant with him, and now he has found himself on the very same set as an actor.
"It was an incredible surprise for me. He grew up hearing the laughter on that soundstage, and now he has become part of it himself," added her colleague Jennifer Aniston.
This symbolic coincidence was especially moving for the star, as nearly three decades had passed between the two events.
Friendship that has stood the test of time
Friends first premiered in 1994 and quickly became one of the most successful television projects of all time. The roles of Rachel and Phoebe made Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow famous around the world, but even years later, and despite not working together on major projects, they have continued to maintain close friendships.
