Putin wants to reach a deal on Ukraine in Alaska - Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly wants to reach an agreement on Ukraine during tomorrow’s meeting with US President Donald Trump, states the American leader, according to CNN.
"I believe now he’s (Putin - ed.) convinced that he’s going to make a deal. He’s going to make a deal. I think he’s going to. And we’re going to find out — I’m going to know very quickly," Trump said.
According to the US president, his goal is to move toward a trilateral meeting involving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Currently, "three different locations" are being considered, including Alaska.
"If it’s a bad meeting, I’m not calling anybody — I’m going home. … But if it’s a good meeting, I’m going to call President Zelensky and the European leaders," Trump noted.
He also gave an evasive answer when asked whether he would offer Putin economic incentives to end the war.
"Well, I’d rather not say because I don’t want to play my hand in public, but whatever my hand is, economic incentives — and disincentives maybe — are more important, in a way, but incentives economically, you know," Trump said.
Trump-Putin meeting
At Russia’s request, a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place on Friday, August 15, in Alaska.
Just yesterday, August 13, Trump expressed doubts that he would be able to convince Putin to stop the killings in the war against Ukraine.
Despite this, the US leader aims to achieve a ceasefire between the warring countries.
