Russia avoids air ceasefire with Ukraine: Latest comment revealed

The Press Secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, claims that there are no agreements between Moscow and Kyiv regarding an air ceasefire.
Peskov said in a comment to Russian propagandists that no agreements on an air ceasefire with Ukraine had been reached.
Russian Presidential Press Secretary also added that any issues related to possible "paths to settlement" could only be discussed in a "discreet mode" and, according to him, "this is in the interest of the matter."
Air ceasefire
Earlier, the media reported that the Russian authorities are considering the possibility of a ceasefire with Ukraine in the air. Moscow might take such a step to avoid sanctions from the United States.
A few months ago, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a phased ceasefire to Russia.
According to his initiative, the first step was supposed to be a halt to hostilities in the air and at sea - a complete ban on launching missiles and long-range drones, as well as strikes on energy and other civilian infrastructure. Moscow rejected this proposal at the time.
Meanwhile, experts point out that an air ceasefire could bring Ukraine many problems, particularly because the enemy would have the opportunity to increase the use of ground forces on the frontlines.
