Today, protests have resumed in several cities in Georgia amid the government's decision to suspend the country's European integration. In particular, in Tbilisi, people came to the building of the Public Broadcaster demanding to be broadcast, reports Sova.

The publication writes that the protesters demanded that the TV channel provide them with airtime against the decision of the ruling Georgian Dream party, which refused to negotiate accession to the European Union until 2028. In addition, the protesters demanded that the broadcaster's management cover the facts of violence at the rally.

As a result, an agreement was reached after negotiations between the protesters and the channel's management. The protesters will be allocated airtime at 20:00 and their statements will be broadcast on Nino Zautashvili's Real Space program.

Earlier, the program's Facebook page posted a message on behalf of the channel's staff.

“We see protesters being ruthlessly beaten on the street, our colleagues being hit on the head, and we support them physically and morally. We are standing in defense of our future, chosen by the state and enshrined in the constitution. As members of this society, we are standing on the street, but as professionals, as journalists, we apologize for not fulfilling our professional duty,” the statement reads.

At the moment the protest is also taking place at Tbilisi State University. Students came to the university building with photos of the victims of the violent crackdown. Later, they intend to join the rally planned for the parliament.

At the same time, people are protesting in Batumi. The protesters met near the house of Judge Merab Turav and moved towards the central streets.

The protesters also took to the streets of Zugdidi. People blocked the main street, namely Gamsakhurdia Avenue.

Following the Georgian authorities' decision to suspend European integration, a number of Georgian officials have resigned in protest. Read more about this in RBC-Ukraine's article.
