Prominent Ukrainian actor killed in action: Terrible loss for country

Ukrainian actor Volodymyr Fedinchuk was killed in the Russia-Ukraine war. The 31-year-old man gave his life in the battles in the Donetsk region. Before the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the artist performed on the stage of the Rivne Regional Music and Drama Theater.

The mayor of Rivne writes that the actor died on January 22. He notes that the war takes the best of the best.
"Unfortunately, the best of the best are dying, actors, scientists, athletes, teachers, we are losing the nation's elite," Tretiak writes.

"A loving and caring man"
The director of the drama theater also dedicates a heartfelt post to the actor. He wrote that Fedinchuk never stood still and did not stop in front of obstacles. According to Petriv, the actor always went forward and acted.
"If he stumbled, he got up quickly. You knew how to support him and say, 'Don't worry. We'll fix it now. You always cared. You burned with new ideas and set the hearts of others on fire. You were wise beyond your years and only for the truth. Sincere and frank," the theater director wrote.
"A loving and caring man. And also in love with life, theater, and Ukraine. A God-kissed talented actor with a brilliant creative future. "If not me, then who?" you said and stood up to defend your homeland. You met the year 2024 at the frontline," he adds.
According to Petriv, the actor wrote that he knew the smell of battle, that he "saw his comrades get hit by shrapnel, and then felt the pain in his crippled arm." Then the connection with Fedinchuk was cut off, and his colleagues and family received the sad news.

What is known about actor
In 2012, Fedinchuk graduated from the Terebovlia Higher School of Culture, and then from Rivne State Humanitarian University with a degree in Theater Arts. In 2011, the actor began working at the Kolomyia Regional Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater. He joined the Rivne Theater in 2016. The actor was married.
