Imagine your perfect wedding suddenly descending into chaos due to an unexpected guest who ruins the celebration. Now, imagine that this person does it professionally and for money! In Spain, a unique profession has emerged – the "wedding saboteur."
Oddity Central reports how much a Spaniard earns for sabotaging other people's weddings for money.
A Spaniard has come up with a clever way to make money – by sabotaging weddings. He usually pretends to be the lover of the bride or groom and offers to elope with them.
Ernesto, a middle-aged man behind this unusual service, became a topic of conversation in Spain after appearing in a TikTok video.
He claims that while most people see their wedding day as the happiest of their lives, for some, it's a nightmare waiting to be resolved. These are the people who become his clients. For a fee of 500 euros, Ernesto promises to disrupt the client's wedding, pretending to be the love of their life and begging them to run away together, thus canceling the event.
“If you have doubts, you don’t want to get married or you don’t know how to say no, don’t worry anymore, I will cancel the wedding for you. You only have to tell me the time, place, and date and I will appear at the ceremony. I will say that I am the love of your life and we will run away together hand in hand,” Ernesto says.
The service likely started as a joke, but after being inundated with inquiries from interested parties, Ernesto realized he had stumbled upon an interesting way to earn money.
Currently, he charges 500 euros for disrupting the event, excluding travel expenses. Additionally, he gets paid more for unexpected incidents. For example, if he receives a slap, punch, or kick, he gets extra compensation. Each slap earns him an additional 50 euros.
“Each slap is worth 50 euros. I try to run, but I am aware that every time I get hit, I get paid more. So, if I can go slower, I go slower. That’s how I earn my money,” Ernesto explained.
Ernesto’s wedding disruption service has proven quite popular, and he now claims to have a fully booked schedule until November 2.
