Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning to return to the UK with their children after six years in the U.S. Reuters reports that the family plans to stay in Britain for an extended period, with Archie and Lilibet expected to start school there in September, according to Reuters.
What is known about Harry and Meghan’s return
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will return to the UK with their children, 7-year-old Archie and 5-year-old Lilibet.
The family plans to spend an extended period in Britain, but Harry and Meghan will not resume their roles as working members of the royal family. They also do not plan to live in a royal residence.
The move comes six years after the couple stepped back from royal duties and relocated to California. Their children are expected to begin school in the UK in September.

The family has prepared a private home outside the royal estates.
At the same time, the couple will keep their California property, where they have lived since stepping down from royal duties in 2020.

One of the biggest changes will be the children’s move.
Archie and Lilibet have already been enrolled in a British school and are expected to start classes in September 2026. For both children, this will be their first experience attending school in the UK.
Archie was born in London in 2019 but spent most of his life in the U.S. Lilibet was born in California in 2021.
Until now, the Sussex children had visited the UK only a few times.
