President Zelenskyy will address UN General Assembly in late September
The General Debates at the UN General Assembly will begin on September 24. The main topics are the war in Ukraine and the international community's support. On the first day, US President Joe Biden will give a speech, and on September 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address the assembly, according to "Voice of America."
Zelenskyy plans to present a victory plan to Western partners, including President Biden and US election candidates such as Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Additionally, the UN General Assembly's agenda will include the issue of coordinating the use of long-range weapons supplied to Ukraine for strikes on targets in Russia. This issue has become relevant amid recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities.
Ukraine-Russia negotiations
At the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine and Russia held several rounds of negotiations, but Ukraine later abandoned them due to Russia’s ultimatums.
Ukraine has already presented its peace formula and organized the first peace summit in June. A second peace summit is planned for November, and it is not ruled out that representatives of Russia could be invited.
