President Zelenskyy unveils Ukraine’s plan to counter Russian attacks on ports

Ukraine is considering several options for countering Russia's attacks on ports, one of which is negotiations between allies and Moscow. At the same time, shipping is not currently completely blocked, reports President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Kyiv.
According to him, Ukraine is considering several courses of action in response to Russia's attempt to block the maritime corridor.
Zelenskyy noted, in particular, that several countries will work within a negotiation framework with Russian forces. Plans are also underway to strengthen air defenses along the grain corridor.
President Zelenskyy also added that despite the strikes, Russia has not completely blocked the operation of Ukraine's ports.
The head of state noted that there is no total blockade at this time. There is an attempt at a total blockade, but three or four ships a day still enter and leave Greater Odesa, despite the strikes on port infrastructure
On August 24, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing took place in Kyiv, and the president summed up its outcomes, including the pressing issue of the aggressor's attacks on Ukraine's ports.
Russia is attacking ports
Russian attacks on Ukraine's seaports have led to a reduction in grain exports abroad, which accounted for a significant portion of overall exports. It was also reported that the growing number of Russian attacks on Ukrainian seaports and vessels could reduce monthly grain shipments by nearly one-third.
This, in turn, deals a blow to the economy at a time when Kyiv is trying to put pressure on Russia's economic indicators through its own strikes, including those on Wildberries.
Strikes on grain exports threaten the world with a food crisis, according to analysts cited by the Financial Times.
