Independence Day celebrations
Due to Russia's aggressive war in Ukraine, there are no large-scale events or celebrations for Ukraine's Independence Day on August 24th for the second year.
Furthermore, Ukrainians are urged to remain vigilant and not to ignore air raid sirens, as the enemy might resort to extensive shelling.
However, this year on August 23rd, Ukraine traditionally holds the Crimean Platform Summit. This time it will take place in a hybrid format to engage even more international participants.
