'Preparing results for fall.' Zelenskyy discusses reports from Intelligence Chief and Commander-in-Chief
Ukraine's military and political leadership at all directions and levels is preparing maximum results for the country in the fall, according to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy shared that he received a report today from the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko. The key points included strengthening the Service and working on highly sensitive information gathered by Ukrainian intelligence.
"Right now, on all fronts and at all levels, we are preparing maximum results for the state this fall. All necessary content for Ramstein - military, the Presidential Office, diplomats - everything Ukraine needs to provide to partners to better understand our capabilities, we will provide," the President said.
He also noted that efforts are ongoing to counter the plans of the Russian forces.
"We are preparing to counteract them in the most beneficial way for Ukraine's defense and for protecting our people's lives," the President emphasized.
Additionally, Zelenskyy mentioned several conversations with Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, particularly about the Donetsk region and the most difficult directions.
"I thank every combat brigade for their true resilience and courage. Every week, despite everything, our soldiers ensure a really tangible defeat to the occupiers. This is the most important thing—to exhaust the enemy and provide Ukraine with the opportunity to convince partners of such steps that can fundamentally and strategically change the military situation,” the President added.
He stressed that Ukraine urgently needs its partners' decisiveness, especially concerning long-range capabilities.
"And I want to thank each leader and all friends of Ukraine for understanding that pressure on Russia is still too weak, and that is the only reason why the Russian leadership does not take diplomacy seriously. More force is needed," Zelenskyy concluded.
Authorization for Ukraine's strikes deep into Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been seeking permission to use Western weapons to strike deep into Russian territory for a long time.
In particular, the United States may allow the use of ATACMS missiles, and the United Kingdom may allow the use of Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
At the same time, The Washington Post reported that the United States expressed doubts about the effectiveness of Ukraine's use of long-range missiles to strike Russian territory. According to representatives of the White House and the Pentagon, Ukrainian leaders failed to provide sufficient arguments in favor of such a strategy.
