'Preparing response for enemy': Zelenskyy talks with military command
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy talked with the military command. Additionally, the head of state also listened to the report of Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, according to the president's Telegram channel.
Zelenskyy held a conversation with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, who briefed him on the situation on the front line. They discussed the planning of further actions by Ukrainian forces.
Defense Minister Umerov reported on the situation regarding ammunition.
There was also a separate conversation between Zelenskyy and the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk, the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov, and the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko regarding enemy attacks on Kharkiv and eastern regions of Ukraine.
"Russia does not cease its terror for a minute. We are working to provide our people with reliable protection. We are preparing a response for the enemy - one that is very specific and just," emphasized the president.
Kharkiv under fire
In recent days, Russian occupation forces have intensified shelling in Kharkiv and the region. Against this backdrop, the aggressors have also resumed attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
The situation in Kharkiv is dire, with the city under daily shelling. Additionally, power outages are occurring in Kharkiv and the region. Today, April 7, energy companies have intensified power outage schedules as the enemy struck a high-voltage grid owned by Ukrenergo.
During the day, the Russian army once again shelled Kharkiv, resulting in four injuries.
